Remembering Big Hawk (7/24/1969-5/1/2006)

Today marks the 4th year anniversary of Houston great, Big Hawk. I could write up a huge story on him and it STILL wouldn't parallel to what he did for this city, nor would it be thanks enough. This day to me is a holiday and his life and work should be celebrated. I remember Hawk going around to different schools when I was little and constantly asking my teacher could she somehow get him to come talk to our class. This man was a humanitarian...not only will his presence in the Houston music scene will be missed, but so will the person whom did so much for this community. RIG (Rest in Greatness) Hawk...we REALLY miss you. : (
